How Apoquel Works?
Apoquel tablets contain oclacitinib maleate as its key ingredient. Oclacitinib is a synthetic Janus Kinase (JAK) inhibitor that works against a variety of pruritogenic cytokines and pro-inflammatory cytokines, as well as cytokines involved in allergic reactions. After administration, oclacitinib is rapidly absorbed and metabolized in the pet’s body and prevents the production of cytokines to help control allergies and related symptoms.
