Profender for cats is recommended for use in kittens and cats from 8 weeks of age. At the same time, the kitten/cat should at least weigh 2.2 lbs for the use of Profender.
Is there one standard pack of Profender for all cats?
No. Profender for Cats comes in three different packs to suit cats with different weights and they are,
- Small Cats for 2.2 – 5.5 lbs
- Medium Cats for > 5.5 – 11.0 lbs
- Large Cats for > 11.0 – 17.6 lbs
For cats over 17.6 lbs, it is indicated to use an appropriate combination of Profender doses.

How frequently do cats need to be treated with Profender?
When Profender is administered as per manufacturer recommendations, the intestinal worms are eliminated through the cat’s feces. A single dose is effective and enough to expel worms. Generally, a second treatment should not be needed however a dosage can be re-applied after an interval of 30 days in case of re-infection.
One dose of Profender protects cats for how long?
A single dose of Profender expels intestinal worms through the cat's feces. However, there's always a possibility of re-infection.
