Sentinel Flea & intestinal Worms Treatment for Dogs
Sentinel for Dogs is a beef flavored flea and heartworm prevention tablet that is designed especially for dogs to help prevent both heartworm and flea infestation problems in one tasty flavor tablet. This palatable chew needs to be given to dogs and puppies once a month. Sentinel for Dogs control the flea population by preventing the development of flea eggs but do not kill adult fleas. This treatment can be administered in pregnant bitches.
It is safe to be given to dogs and puppies at least 2 lbs in weight and 4 weeks of age
How It Works?
Sentinel for Dogs consists of two active ingredients - Milbemycin Oxime and Lufenuron. Milbemycin oxime interferes with nerve transmission in invertebrates, which helps protect against heartworm, roundworm, hookworm and whipworm. Lufenuron is an insect growth regulator that interrupts the flea breeding cycle. Adult fleas that feed on an animal treated with Sentinel Spectrum will produce eggs or larvae that do not develop to the adult stage therefore reducing the number of fleas in the environment.
Important Note: Novartis is now acquired by Elanco. So, the manufacturer’s name on product packs may vary according to the available stock.
